But first.... what a week!!!!!
After rushing back from 80's night and Adelaide, mum and I had the awesome idea of flying Ali over for a few days this week since it was school holidays and all!!
So I picked her up on Sunday lunch and dragged her straight out for lunch at Doyles.... mmmm most yummiest and most expensive fish and chips EVER!! We then raced around the quay to check out Minus 5 - the ice bar!! Absolutely awesome!! It really is minus 5 degrees in there and our faces were frozen!!but it is full of ice sculptures and my favourite.... Vodka - Yay!!! Even better the glasses were made of ice, which was my fave thing coz i've always had a bit of an obsession with crunching the ice in my drinks.... and so i got to eat my glass!!!
We then drove down to the Uni to meet up with Levina who was over for the weekend, and went out to dinner at a vegetarian restuarant i'd been recommended but never tried.... Green Gourmet in Newtown. Was hilarious!!! It's kinda like a wiered version of asian vegetarian sizzler, and they weigh your plate to work out how much it costs.... or you could order from the menu, but the descriptions were somewhat offputting, for some reason Mock Duck with Not Pork just didn't appeal!! But twas fantastic to see Levina again!!
Monday, I sent Ali up to our Uncles to hang out up there over night, while I worked worked worked to get everything finished so i would make it to my holidays. Got Ali back Tuesday night, she met me in the city and we had dinner at Opera Bar (our fave!!) before heading to see Wil Anderson's live comedy show at the playhouse....
Was sooooo funny... and as Wil would have us say... "the best thing since fingering". Anyways, Wednesday our goal was to run around all morning and get ALL our jobs done by lunch time so we could spend the arvo wacked out watching movies. And we did, by lunch time we were safely home, and turned the lounge room floor into a massive bed and watched movies and tv all afternoon... Tina you fat Lard....So Funny. We ducked out to get some takeaway pizza and settled back down to hit Telladega Nights...wether it was the pizza or Will Ferrel's bad acting, we'll never know, but poor Ali was hit with an AWFUL tummy bug half way through, which kept both of us up the whole night and Ali in bed for the next two days... missing her flight back to Adelaide!!Rob turned up as a suprise in the middle of all this on Thursday night and got to play nurse to Ali on Friday while I dragged myself back to work.
Saturday we traipsed around and around real estate agents and rental properties to try and find somewhere decent.... but nothing!! Fingers crossed something comes up when i get back.
Sunday.... ahhhh Sunday, the only thing moving on Sunday was my nose... and boy was it running!!! Well that's not quite true.... i dropped Ali at the airport 8 am.. so a lovely early rise, rushed back to have coffee and Cherrybrook with Tam (over from the US - yay!!) had a lovely catch up with her, before running off to Castle Hill to try and find all the birthday presents i need for the upcoming August birthdays, got home and crashed out at this point - was meant to be packing but my nose said... NO. But no rest for the wicked (and I must be SO wicked!!) as Rob rings from work, where he'd gone to sort out some stuff for the upcoming move.... only to lock his keys, wallet and phone and pass inside the building, and himself out!!! Aaaaggghhhh.... so i grabbed my tissue box and drove up to rescue him, we stopped to grab some Chinese on the way home and gave in to watching Charlotte's Web on the telly (so much for our romantic dinner!!)
I drugged myself up to try and get some sleep (to no real avail!!) dragged myself to work the next day... and packed up my desk!! Yay - we are moving up stairs... felt like i was leaving forever!!!
So that brings me up to today.... flight leaves at 3pm...and I'll be back 4 August!! For those of you who have my mobile, I've got global roaming so you'll be able to text me if you like.
OH YEAH..THATS RIGHT... I HAVEN'T PACKED YET...... BYE!!!!!!!

Don't worry everyone - I'll look after her. Although now I know she has got a runny nose, she might have to go into quarantine!
hehe- lucky for you.... i have a lot worse then a runny nose... it has all been completely joined... so i have been sick from Wednesday night to now 2.37pm on Friday arvo over a week later... and there is still more of it to come i can tell.... but hope you girlies have fun and dont do to much shopping!!
